India accounts for the largest number of preterm births in the world — more than 3 million babies a year arrive before 37 weeks. Most spend their first weeks in NICUs that are doing their best with what they have. Walk into any Level III NICU and you'll see micropore tape on 900-gram skin. Towels rolled into positioning aids. Stockings cut into CPAP caps. Carbon paper and surgical tape holding cannulas in place on the most fragile patients in healthcare. These aren't a failure of the doctors. They're a failure of the supply chain. Imported neonatal products are priced beyond reach for most Indian hospitals — so nurses improvise. Babies make do.

In 2014, Amit and Nisha Gupta welcomed a preterm daughter — a tiny fighter who spent her first weeks in a Jaipur NICU. From her bedside, they noticed every workaround. Every Neosoft product since has traced back to that moment.
